My name is Kakai Faith Lydia, a student pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Land Surveying and Geomatics at Makerere University, Kampala-Uganda. I grew up in a rapidly urbanizing city witnessing how inaccurate and missing maps escalated problems like poor urban planning and limited access to services in underserved communities. This ignited my deep interest in mapping, which to me is more than just drawing maps but rather a powerful tool for turning data into actionable solutions for solving real problems.
